Hi
I have seen lots of your posts on this forums. I do appreciate your knowledge regarding different immigration and claiming benefits matters.

I need your suggestion. Me, my wife and my 1 & 1/2 year old son just got ILR last week. My wife never works & I am a full time worker. My salary after deduction of tax is around 1300. My question is if I apply or claim housing benefits or tax credit. Will I be entitled to have them...??? Where should I apply. I am living in a studio apartment. Will I be entitled to have a 2 bedroom house under above circumstances if I claim housing benefits...???

Your local authority housing department will give you an estimate to what Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit/Reduction, you may be entitled to.

I assume none of you have any health issues?
