Employee with offered directorship

Post by hammad1224 » Tue Aug 27, 2013 12:33 pm

Hi,

I am offered directorship in the company where I am currently employed. I have already applied my tier 1 Ent visa recently. I was on PSW.

According to the policy guidance it says in d section.

(d) You:
(i) are applying for leave to remain,
(ii) have, or were last granted, leave as a Tier 1 (Post-Study Work) Migrant,
(iii) were, on a date no earlier than three months prior to the date of
application,
(1) registered with HM revenue and Customs as self-employed, or
(2) registered a new business in which you are a director, or
(3) registered as a director of an existing business

I am looking at (3). I have already applied on (1) where I will invest my £50,000 (already invested nearly half of it).

My job title and nature of business remains the same in both i.e. Chartered Certified Accountant and accountancy firm respectively.

Can I do my current job being the director of exiting business?

If I am on the payroll of the company to which I am the finance director, I do not see any problem in that based on what is written in the policy guidance.

My specialisation is in tax not in UK Immigration. That is why I am asking this important question from all the Gurus and immigration experts here in this forum.

I really appreciate your responses.

Best Regards.
