BRP number format error in online applcn system, pls help!

BRP number format error in online applcn system, pls help!

Hi, could anyone help me on this?
I am trying to fill an online application for Tier-2 General Application for leave to remain. In the dependant BRP section, the BRP number is resulting as an error when I fill the number. unusually my dependant BRP number contains 3 Letters and 6 digits (eg. RPX123456), the third digit is X and the system doesnot accept this. when I tried replacing this X with a digit the system accept that. I am in real trouble as my expiry date is farst approaching.
Has anyone encountered this before? please suggest a solution for this.

sorry - try calling the UKBA about this. sounds like a software error on their part or a typo on your BRP.
