Sponsor Licence application

Hello everyone,

Just wanted some advice and help regarding Sponsor licence.

My employer has applied for a license and it will normally take about 4 weeks to get back the outcome.
My visa runs out towards the end of september.
can anybody advice on what to do and how to go about this. extremely nerve racking and confused what to do.

I read on another topic on here that icould send in my passport if the licence and the sponsor certificate hasnt arrived with a cover letter from my employer stating that we have applied for a licence etc,

any help will be highly appreciated.

I am in you situation with the difference of that I'm your future next month I guess.

Our company's licence hasn't arrived yet after 6 weeks of applying. I have read a lot (and by a lot I mean maybe half of this forum lol), and talked to two different solicitors, and couple of people on here directly who had our situation some time ago. Also talked to UKBA themselves. My conclusions:

The only thing we can do if the licence doesn't arrive before the expiry date of our visa is to attach a cover letter mentioning that why the application does not contain the CoS number. From what I have found they will put the application oh hold BUT there is no guarantee that they will wait until the licence comes.

I will update you on my case. Most likely I will send my application without CoS number and with cover letter next week.
