Dependant Visa application from UK or India?

Post by kannit » Fri Aug 30, 2013 6:48 pm

Hi,

I need to apply dependant visa for my new born. We are currently in UK and will be traveling in 2 months to India.

My questions are:
1) Is is better to apply Dependant visa by post in UK or from India considering time taken by UKBA here?
2) UKBA will charge £1920 for PEO application or £1545 for postal application. What is the dependant visa fees in India?

Note: I'm a contractor on Tier 1 General visa but currently on maternity leave. So whenever and where ever I'll apply dependant visa, this will be my situation. In UK we live in a rental accommodation.

Thanks!

It is advised to apply for visa within the UK. I am not sure if the rules say so but thats definitely the logical way. IMO

The timeline is 3 weeks if applied from India and is pretty straightforward if all your documentation is correct.

Fees if applied in India,
