ILR Success in Croydon Aug 13 - Tier 2 Case SET (O)

Post by mathewp » Sat Aug 31, 2013 1:06 pm

Hi All

I am another silent observer on the forum and it has guided me and helped me immensely. So thought of posting my story. I was a Tier 2 ICT Employee who completed 5 years in the UK.

I was worried about the absence letter as it was difficult for me to produce that, although I was away for only 110 days in 5 years, and max duration for which i was away at one time was 3 weeks. Few members on this forum told me not to worry.

I went to Croydon for my ILR late august - personal appointment. As far as experience in Croydon office is concerned, it was super slick. Had a 8:40 AM appointment- was out of the office by 11 AM. No interaction with the case worker. Had to wait about 1.5 hours when I application was being considered, before was called to collect my documents. Was given a letter that a new biomentric will be received by me in next 7 days.

Here are the documents I have submitted
Originals
1. Passport
2. BRP
4. employer letter having salary, cos number, soc code, role, date when I came to UK, I am required for another year etc.
5. original work permit, all the UKBA tier 2 approval letters
6. 12 months salary slips
7. Life in the UK test certificate
8. appointment email copy
9. 12 months bank statement
10. Photographs.

Had copies of all, which were kept by the border agency.

Did take along with me lots of back up documents - just in case I was asked, but none these were required in the end.

- P60 (5 years)
- salary slips and bank statements for when I was away from UK.
- old deputation letter, and appointment letter from the company I am working for
- My Leave records from the company intranet site - print out
- even old email prints outs - where my managers have confirmed that they have approved my leaves.

As stated earlier, I did not gave any annual leave letter neither I selected any option in the application where it asks for the absence evidence.

My employer letter did not have the statement that my salary is as per SOC code requirements

I did not draft any cover letter.

Let me know in case of any questions.

Thanks.
