Passport expiry/issue date enquiry

All,

I will be applying for Naturalisation soon , issue here is the fact that my old passport expired on 2/6/13 and the new passport issued on 17/6/13 so would that be an issue? Will the HO query whether I was in the country then? I thought to be on the safe side I will get a letter from my employer stating the fact I was in employment during that period.
Any other suggestions or am I being paranoid for no reason?
