Hi,
I have tier 4 visa and am currently in uk. My visa will expire on 14 october 2013. I want to extend my visa but i want to know whether i can apply for extension with a CAS with course starting date in january 2014 or not. Or do i have to have CAS with course starting date of september 2013??

You cannot apply for further leave to remain in the UK if the gap between your new course & the visa expiry date is more than a month.

Hai I been in uk since sep 2010 as a student.but in November 2011 my college licence suspended for temporary and from the college they informed students will get further information after Xmas holidays.so we went to January and they informed they lost their college licence and ukba will send individual letter for everyone about tier 4 lost licence.But we(all students from our class)didnt get any letter from ukba.so I returned back to my country on November 2012 but my visa was valid till January 2013.on August 6 th I applied for student visa in university of South Wales for another course and its 20 working days now.is there any chance for getting a visa.i submitted my one year progression letter from my previous college .
