FLR(M) or PBS Tier 1, 2 and 5 extension form for Wife?

Post by VENKAT.REDDY09 » Mon Sep 02, 2013 3:49 pm

Hi ,

Just need some expert’s advice.

I got my ILR few weeks back so just thinking which Visa I can apply for my wife (she is not eligible for ILR and need extenison for another 6 months).

My wife came here as a Tier 1 dependent before 9th July 2012 (Came on 1st May 2012) and her back home Degree has been taught in English and recognised by points based calculator (10points) so she is eligible to apply for FLR (M) or PBS Tier 1, 2 and 5 extension form.

As Fee for PBS extension is high so willing to apply for FLR (M).

Can you please advise me which one is better? – I hear that rules for FLR (M) are changing soon. (not sure & didn’t mention on UKBA website)

Much appreciate your reply in this regards.
.
Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,
Reddy

I have applied my wife PBS dependent extension on 11th September 2013 but unfortunately application has returned on 27th due to incorrect payment (invalid). UKBA took the payment of £1534 instead of £1545.

It was my mistake as I ticked £1534. I received all document back with letter saying your payment will be returned shortly and make fresh application with valid fee.

I booked PEO appointment next Wednesday 2nd OCTOBER 2013.

My questions are:-

• My wife visa has been expired by 17 days till now and on 2nd it will 20 days. Is this creates the problem when I go PEO?

• My previous bank statement has taken on 7th September but transactions are till 21st August (last transaction). I know bank statement is valid till 31 days but do they check transactions
date ?

Any help will be much appreciated!

Hi - I have a similar situation. I am going for tier 1 general 5 yr route ILR on 6th Nov 2013, and my wife (came to UK on PBS dependent tier 1 ion 21 Jan 2011) is currently on Tier 1 Dependent (expiry December 3 2013)

So i am a bit confused under which category is is better for her to extend her visa - FLR (M) or PBS Tier 1 ad she should be eligible to apply for her ILR (2 yr in UK) in Feb 2014

So FLR(M) or PBS Tier 1 General ?

Thanks in advance
