Hi,
Just wanted to know the process on my situation as below:
I got married to my wife a bangladeshi Citizen in Dec 2012 as an Indian citizen. We got married in Bangladesh in a church (so we have Bangladeshi church marriage certificate)
I then returned back to UK, got naturalised and claimed British Citizenship in Feb 2013.(thanks to this forum)
Now I am planning to get my wife here in UK, Now for proof of marriage I need to make a submit legal documents, so I have been given two options:
Option 1: Should I use the Dec 2012 Bangladeshi Church marriage certificate and affidavit into a legal document.
OR
Option 2: Go to Bangladesh now for a visit and do a Court marriage with a new date that is within my visiting dates, and submit that along with my Church marriage certificate of Dec 2012.
The reason I am asking is because in Option 1 I was an Indian Citizen, and the affidavit will say the same.
However I can still prove I am british, but in terms of paperwork , would they require any documentation from India as any other sort of evidence?
Hope I made sense,
As usual , thanks for the help in advance.
