Visa for a baby born in india

Post by kalai kani » Wed Sep 04, 2013 6:25 am

Dear all,

I hold Indefinite leave to remain in UK and my husband holds British Citizen thru Naturalisation.

We are expecting our baby this month and I am delivering in India. I read in the forum that getting British passport in India takes more time.

Could any one please Answer me the below queries

1. Father holds British Citizenship through natrualisation and Mother is an indian citizen holding ILR.

if Baby is born in India,Can the baby apply for ILR dependant visa in india?

or Certificate of entilement or Right of abode in UK sticker in Child's indian passport ?

2. If yes

who will need to apply father or mother?

3. How long does it take for the ILR dependant visa for the baby born in india?

4. Which visa application must be filled and what are the supporting documents needed for the ILR dependant visa or right of abode for the baby in india?

5. Could we apply for the British Citizenship for baby after going to UK?

please let me know your suggestions.

Thanks,
Kalai.
