Simple Police Caution + Driving without insurance

Post by ecogle » Wed Sep 04, 2013 7:43 am

Dear All,

I spent 5 years residence under European track in the UK. In Aug12 I have a simple police caution for common assault( issue in police station). Later in Dec12 I have got 6 points and £200 fine for driving without the proper type of insurance ( i had valid insurance but at that time i was favoring my friend to deliver his goods). I would like to ask you when is the appropriate time for me to apply for BC under new regulations.

Many thanks

Kind regards

Ecog

3 clean years from dec-12 you can apply.each additional incident you get involved in count 3 years from date of sentence. Good luck and do not get caught up in any further stuff. I believe next year they will come up with new stringent goal posts which will affect immigrants further in naturalising.
cheers

Hi VR,

Thank you for the reply. 3 years time for both incidents, because one of my friends told me that points will come back in four years and fines will be taken into account for 5 years. Police caution and FPN both are issued by police officers.

Thank you

Did you not receive a Court summons for the driving offence?

The police caution will create a bar for 3 years, minor offences may be disregarded but not normally for violence.

FPN issued by police on the roadside, I have telephoned the court and paid the fine over the phone. Police caution was issued at police station.

Based on the simple police caution (if issued in England or Wales) will be August 2015 at the earliest.
