Improved turnaround time in August but not in May n June...

Post by Eureka.Power » Wed Sep 04, 2013 10:09 am

O you helpful people out there.. may peace be with you..

I have been looking into the time lines for naturalisation.. I found August cases were wrapped up quite quickly... unlike april and May cases. its a tricky trend... Can any advise ... does the out come or process time any how influenced by the current nationality of the applicant ???? from your past experience how do you envisage the trend in the month november ?? or roughly what do think have the changed any thing to improve the turn around time.. would really appreciate your response... please donot refer me to the link...

Thanks

Don't think anything has changed for good. Not particular pattern found yet, all speculations. Lots of late March, early April, June, mid July are still awaiting approvals, while August have started coming in. Anyone with crystal ball.... :)

Maybe they have lost all of the application data (July and earlier pending ones) because of the recent Printing fiasco/showstopper problem they apparently had?

It cannot be due to lazy case workers etc, since other case workers who are doing hard work and approving at reasonable pace (like August ones) would complain to their management as to why the lazy ones would just work on 2 applications per year and get their annual salary ;) while they – the hard working ones will have to do more apps per month.

So although many may think so (reasonable though :)) i think it’s not about case workers being lazy etc. They all must be reasonably hard working guys. Compared to other country's approval process / timing, the British one is really good.

From the email my wife received yesterday, they clearly said in the email reply that it is just that a case worker was not allotted to the application at all (from July 17th??? ).. which to me just means they may have lost the application data or the most of the pack up until that point in time of IT problem (i.e. 25 July) ... hence making sense that all other applications (recent ones – from August) are being allotted to case workers (IT software problem having been sorted?) and are being worked on and approved.

The real reasons lies in here.. Why are most of the applications from July 25th and earlier not even being allocated to case workers (as is clear from HO reply to us while they are able to allocate August ones (especially after the IT problem resolution date ones)).. the answer could be they have lost the data, so nothing to allocate???

I really wish though that all i have just said here turns out to be rubbish.

Well, let's say if they have lost the data entered in the system, I presume it is not difficult to re-enter the data. So instead of entering August data, why couldn't they re-enter earlier application data.

I think the data may not have been entered at all and system crashed. So when system was up and running again, HO would just start processing the latest applications received, and the earlier ones will be allocated to a team or two to process, which of course will take longer.

That way they manage the target times for processing applications.
I think they have a target turn around time and a system to count average days an application is processed. To keep those average days in control, it makes sense to process the latest received application first and side by side process the earlier applications, may be process 2 latest received application for every 1 earlier received applications.
