UK Tier - 2 ICT - Query

Post by balaimegrationuk » Wed Sep 04, 2013 10:32 am

Hi,
I have applied for UK Tier – 2 ICT point based system and I have submitted all the required documents (CoS, degree certificates, passport…) to British High Commission.
I made an unintended mistake on the online visa application on SECTION 5 - IMMIGRATION HISTORY. I answered mistakenly as NO for HAVE YOU EVER BEEN REFUSED A VISA FOR ANY COUNTRY? However, my US L1 was rejected last year.
Will there be any issue on getting visa due this? All my other documents are original and valid and no history of criminal or deception activity from my side. Please clarify.

yes, this may be a problem and may result in a refusal of your application and a ban as it amounts to deception.

Write to the ECO at the High Commission without delay (email if you have an email address) and hope they get your letter before they make the decision.

Thanks Manci for the help.

As my company is a member of BEP, they have passed on the information about my unintended mistake to British High Commission through the BEP channel. Now waiting for reply from British High Commission.

In the UKBA website, the Deception in Visa Application (flowchart) is provided in refusal guidelines page for entry clearance staff. On that, it describes like if there is a false information or representation – considered call in for interview. Is this process applicable in my case too? Is there a chance for interview to prove my innocent mistake? Is anyone received visa after writing to ECO on innocent mistakes on the online application?

write to the ECO yourself, it is your application, not the company's.
Look at this thread:
