Change in Surname while holding ILR

Hi,

Can anyone please suggest the process to be followed if I change my surname(after marriage) in Indian passport while holding ILR.

Right now am on ILR, as my Indian passport is getting expired end of this month, am planning to apply for passport renewal and also change my surname after marriage.

So, after this do I need to inform UKBA about this change through NTL or Is it OK to carry my old and new passports while travelling abroad.

Appreciate your help on this.

If you change your name, you must apply for new BRP as per BRP leaflet(page 7)
