Is it possible to hold two visas for overlapping periods ??

I have a business visa and i have applied for a tier 2 ICT visa. My business visa will expire in nov'13. If i get the Tier 2 visa would the Business visa be cancelled ??

Is it possible to hold two visas for overlapping periods ??
