Visa Stepmother uk visit

Hi

Looking for some professional advise please.

I am 35 employed and salary is above 18k and have my own house.
I want to sponsor my new stepmother from Pakistan on behalf of my father. My father does not work and is close to retirement in three years and has a council house, he is on benefits.

We have been advised that I sponsor my stepmother as a financial sponsor and my father is the main sponsor, is this correct ?

Please note this is a visiting visa only at this point in time.
