Asylum seeker, seeking advice

Post by Moxie » Sun Sep 08, 2013 8:46 pm

We would like to ask about the asylum.
Can we apply for asylum?
How difficult can it be?
We are lebanese, but are being treated due to our religion and political view.
Lately we have been threatened by a political party to be persecuted. Since we do not belong to that political party.

You have to prove what you are saying is true before you are granted asylum and you are genuinely fleeing persecution.

Getting asylum is very difficult and you face the risk of detention while your application is being processed.

How

Everytime they threaten me , they do it personally, how can i prove that?
Also we are a family of three with little kid. And we have legal visa to visit uk. When coming to uk legally , will that cause us detention as well?

To be successful to gain asylum you must be in genuine fear of your life or fleeing persecution.

Getting a visa does not guarantee entrance to the country. The immigration officers will question you and they can refuse you entry or allow you in.

How are the people of the same religion and political view as yours coping?Ideally you should claim asylum as soon as possible UKBA would prefer you do it at the point of entry.

It will not make any difference when you apply for asylum. The stamp can be canceled or revoked..What do you think will happen when you tell the immigration officer you want to claim asylum?

Pray and hope that your case is not suitable for fast track detention. http://www.ncadc.org.uk/toolkit/dft-and-nsa.html
