VISA4UK FIANCE VISA

Post by brit-fiance » Mon Sep 09, 2013 4:28 am

Hello, I am from Southern California, USA. I am the fiance of a british citizen and looking to apply for a fiance visa. However, when I went to apply through the online system (VISA4UK), there does not appear to be any fiance visa option and I am not sure what "Type of Visa" "Purpose of Application" "Type of Application" I should select.

The options for Type of Visa are: Exempt, Other, Settlement, Study, Transit, Visit, Work. And then the option for the other categories change based on the selection.

PLEASE if there is anyone who has had a successful FIANCE visa application PLEASEEEEE HELP :) THANK YOUUU

Select "Settlement" if you wish to marry and subsequently settle in the UK.

I saw this too http://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php?topic=51313.0 ?
so they are also saying settlement is correct?

1. TYPE OF VISA: SETTLEMENT
2: PURPOSE OF APPLICATION: SETTLEMENT
3:TYPE OF APPLICATION:
wife, unmarried partner, marriage, proposed civil partner?

Choose "Settlement" then, in 3, "marriage" (assuming different gender couple).

I am just wondering what people wrote / how you worded the statements
for:

1. Statement of Intent to Marry
2. Sponsor's Invitation for you to come over
3. Sponsor's Invitation for you to live with them (he owns his own place)
4. Sponsor's Financially supporting you

I know overall what needs to come out of these statements from your sponsor is the following found on the UKBA website:

"I am present and settled in the uk our relationship is subsisting , and we fully intend to live together permanently without recourse to any public funds ."

But I think they should be written separately for stuff. Any suggestions?People have been approved or other applicants?

When you are filling out VISA4UK and they ask "HAVE YOU BEEN GRANTED ANY UK VISAS/EEA FAMILY PERMIT IN THE LAST 10 YEARS?"

Does the little stamp you get in your passport when you travel to the UK count? I have never applied online or by mail or anything for a visa, but I have been to the UK before and I HAVE had my passport stamped DOES THIS COUNT AS A UK VISA!?

thankkkk youuuu xx
you are all visa amazingness

Hello I am an American seeking a fiance visa to the UK.
I am just wondering what people wrote / how you worded the statements

How many letters do I need? should i clump them? do we need one letter from each of us? should they be formal or informal? please help
*thank you in advance, you guys are amazing!

My fiance and I do have a shared bank account and my name is on his council tax bill, but I don't really contribute financially to any of these things. And there is a question on the VAF4A regarding this, but i don't know if its for other applicants and not fiance visas.

thank you

Just answer the questions truthfully, so long as you meet the financial requirement you should be ok.

ok well the questions are do you have shared financial responsibility? and please put who contributes what amount?

so would i say yes and then right that he contributes 200 and i contribute 0
or do i put no, because it no longer counts as shared if i am not putting in money?

thanks

Dear Vinny,

1) Please can you tell me the difference between 'wife' and 'marriage' option in the question Type of application? You suggested 'marriage' and if I select 'wife', the spouse visa application of my wife will be rejected?

2) I want to complete application on behalf of my wife online, so please can you confirm that all sections will have details of my wife except the 'sponsor' section where I will provide my details?

3) Do we have to submit both completed forms/appendix at the VAC i.e. Financial requirements and Sponsorship confirmation?

Your feedback will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Please do bear in mind the Fiance visa route involves more processes than marriage route ...

carefully consider your options...

it may be better to get married abroad and apply for spouse visa.

Hi, my boyfriend is applying for a fiancé visa and has selected: settlement, settlement, marriage as advised on this forum. However, the web site visa4uk requests him to complete form SU7. I understand this form is only applicable for people applying from within the UK. Please can you confirm what form he should be completing if applying from outside the UK? Thanks
