PSW to Tier 2 certificate limit

Post by jakky88 » Mon Sep 09, 2013 2:57 pm

Hi, I hold a Tier 1(Post study work) visa which expires in Feb 2014. I am required to switch to Tier 2 general. I meet the salary criteria and job title. My employer holds a sponsporship licence. The issue they told me is that, they have only 3 certificates left and they do not want to assign it to me now and they want to wait until December to make a decision. I tried convincing my employer that they will be able to add more certificates if needed, but they deny saying it involves lots of paperwork. What could I possibly do in this situation. Around 3000 people work in my company and I found baffling that they have only 3 certificates.

obtaining unrestricted CoS allocations is done online via the SMS in a matter of minutes and doesn't involve any paperwork.

Make sure that they genuinely want to continue employing you and are not just making excuses. If the latter is the case start looking for another sponsor now.
