All family member be present for OCI/Passport surrender?

Hi,
I am sure this question might have popped up before but was unable to find it in the threads. I and my Family intend to apply for OCI and as a way to begin I need to first surrender my Passport and once I have the surrender certificate I then then need to go the nearest Consular services (London for me) to apply for OCI. My query is

1. Should all of us (My Wife/Daughter 3 yrs and Myself) be physically present at the offices for Passport surrender and OCI application . Can I submit applications on behalf of my wife and daughter since there is a self attested copy to be presented.

2. I understand for Passport surrender fee they accept debit/credit card but not much is mentioned in for OCI fee. should I take cash only or do they accept debit card.

1. You can submit alone on behalf of your family.
2. Cash or demand draft accepted in HCI. No debit or credit card.

No Demand Draft!

We accept Cash or Postal order only at the counter while submitting the application in person.
