Urgent help please.....

I am pleased to mention that my citizenship app has been approved and today i have received the approval letter which was dated on 31st of August 2013. my application was one of the July months most awaited applications as most of the mid july applications were pending, so finally got the good news today, thanks to my all friends of this forum and good luck to those who are waiting the results for july applications.

I have one reason to be sad that i together with my application had sent my minor son's application but am surprised that his fee too hasn't gone through yet and I think i have lost his acknowledgement letter from my letter box area so i don't know what exactly was there in that letter, do any of you guys have any Idea about what is going on with my son's application as we both had applied together through the same NCS on same day but I have got the approval but my son hasn't. Please help me if there is anything unusual.

following is the timeline of my application.
both application through NCS West Bromwich.
Date of both applicatins, 19th of July
Date of receipt by UKBA. 23rd of July
money disappeared from account (for adult only )on 26th of July
Date of acknowledgement (adult only) 30th July
Date of approval (adult only).: 31st August (letter received today on 9th of September)
Date of Ceremony 26th September.

Hi Deva, if you applied together, will the fee not collected in one transaction. How did you pay the fees? Usually the fee is collected in one transaction unless you have given a separate card details or separate cheque. You can even check with your council if they have got your son's certificate. If you are lucky, they may not have collected the fee and just processed your son's application .

Check the document you got from NCS when you submitted application, is there anywhere written "family application". For us, NCS put a covering form with list of docs ticked and he has written in big letters family application. Check if similar is done for you.

Dear Neoseal, thanks for your reply, I called home office 3 weeks ago and they told me that the details of my son are on the system but no decision has been made yet, it means that they have received the application. do the home office take fee after making sure/checking the application/forms or they just take take fee without checking the application. please help.

They usually take the fee first. What amount did you fill on the payment page?
