Evaluation of CA Qualification (India) from NARIC

Post by gsurendra » Sun Mar 25, 2007 11:25 pm

I am a Chartered Accountant from India and want to apply for Evaluation of my Qualification from NARIC. I have the following queries.

1) Please confirm that the copy of my Certificate of Membership will suffice as final qualification certificates as required by NARIC.

2) Do I need to send the copy of my Mark Sheets also?

3) If I apply online, can I send a fax of my documents? If so, what is the fax number?

4) Do I need to send any other document other than above after paying online and filling up online form?

1. Copy of Certificate of Membership will be sufficient

2. No need for marksheets

3. Yes once you apply online, you can fax the documents. You will have to ask the NARIC customer service for fax number. Make sure that the cover page of the fax provides your details like your NARIC application number (that you will be given after you complete online process)

4. Once you pay online and fax the documents, you dont need to do anything.

BTW the Indian CA is equated to Bristish taugh Master's degree.

Can I skip applying to NARIC

Post by gsurendra » Mon Mar 26, 2007 6:37 am

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Would you advice me to skip applying to NARIC or I should apply to be on the safe side?

I think you should get NARIC anyway. Send both your Bachelor's degree and CA degree.

Because if you are using a letter from your college as proof of english proficiency, you need to show that your bachelor's degree is equal to british bachelor's degree/

I am new to this group. I want to know whether NARIC is a must for HSMP?

I have my B.Tech. from IIT Madras.
