Resigning on Tier2 ICT while ILR is with UKBA

Post by amar2013ilr » Wed Sep 11, 2013 11:19 am

Dear all- I have applied for my ILR in June but there is pending decision on it yet- I am told it may take months for decision to arrive.

But - I have to resign from sponsor of my Tier2 ICT (my current visa) due to inevitable circumstances (i.e. they want me to leave the UK for work reasons). I have two options
a) Withdraw ILR application and quit
b) Resign and wait for ILR

my query is about point 2, am I eligible to stay in the UK even after resigning given UKBA has pending ILR decision, or do I become illegal immigrant and must withdraw and quit?

Any help will save me from lot of grief.

The pending ILR applications maintains your right to be in the UK.
