T1 Gen - Citizenship qualification question

Post by pkat » Thu Sep 12, 2013 12:44 pm

Any help is greatly appreciated..

Need advice on if I qualify for applying for settlement/British passport,

1. date of first successful application - Dec2008. got visa for 3 years
2. A general visit to UK for job seeking for 7 Days - April 2009
3. Moved to UK for the job - Mar 2010
4. got 1st extention in Dec 2011 for further 2 years
5. 2nd extension due Dec 2013

Staying Continuously in UK since Mar 2010 till date

I'll be eligible for ILR in Feb 2015 (considering stay from Mar 2010)

I presume I can go on to get my ILR in Feb2015 and eventually qualify to apply for Brit passport in approx year after that.. Please correct me if I am wrong

Yes, you can apply to naturalise from 12 months after ILR if you're not the spouse or civil partner of a British Citizen, subject to meeting the other standard requirements.
