Am I eligible for ILR ?

Post by dpdp » Thu Sep 12, 2013 4:06 pm

Hi,

I am hoping to get an answer for my query here.

I am currently on Tier 2 ICT visa and the initial visa stamping happened on April 28th 2010, which i understand that it doesn’t come under the rules before April 6th 2010.

But for stamping my visa, the CoS was generated on March 2010 which I believe it as a petition filed at the UKBA. So considering the petition filed before 2010 April 6th, I am wondering whether I am eligible to apply for getting a ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) once I complete the required number of years of stay at UK?

This information is very important for me as this would help me in deciding whether I need to spend more time in UK.

Thanks manci for the reply.

As i understand, it doesnt matter when the CoS started, but it counts only when the application is submitted to the embassy. Is there any easy way to find out the application date ? Would that date be the same as the VFS appointment date ?

see:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... utside-uk/

The date of your application is the date when your application fee is paid to us. This will be the date shown on your payment receipt, which depends on how you paid for your visa application - for example, at a visa application centre or online.
