How to answer Section 9, A7

Post by acha114 » Sat Sep 14, 2013 9:30 pm

Hi, I am applying for ILR using the SET (O) form, I am currently a Tier 1 (General).

I first got entry clearance for Tier 1 (General) on 15/10/2008. And I got an extension for Tier 1 (General) on 08/07/2011. My leave for Tier 1 (General) will end on 15/10/2013.

On Section 9, A7, for which section do I tick the points box for? Is it:
- ILR where an applicant has had leave as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant under the rules in place before 6 April 2010, OR
- ILR where previous leave as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant was granted under the rules in place on or after 6 April 2010?

In other words, do I use my first entry clearance date, or my leave extension date for determining the points calculated here?

Thanks.

Hi,

It would be the first date you recived entry clearance as a tier 1.

That's what I thought, just wanted to double check.

I'll use my first date (15/10/2008) to answer the rest of the other points based questions as well (qualification, etc)

Thanks.
