do the job title that we choose from SOC list need to be exactly same as given in examples or it can be different? for example in my case i am using job title of "Financial and Accounting Technician" soc code 3537 while given job titles list for SOC 3537 "Financial and Accounting Technicians" are

 Accounting technician
 Business associate (banking)
 Financial controller
 Insolvency administrator
 Managing clerk (accountancy)

So choose accounting technician, but exactly what service is your company providing?

Well, I would assume that so far the title describe what the SOC code indicates, it should mean same thing. I had the same issue as my title is Lead Consultant, Marketing., which I used with the SOC code 3543 of a Marketing Consultant.
What I did was put my Job Title and include the description of the SOC code in bracket, i.e
Lead Consultant, Marketing (i.e Marketing Consultant).

If anyone has any suggestion(s) please do.
Thanks.

how it works is in terms of your work to your company like an employee would do, pick up any business card where you would see company logo normally right hand side on top and company address in the bottom like left corner to right... area that you see left on top right hand side is the area where a company when provided business card to an employee pastes his name and the role under the name. the point I am trying to make clear is there may be more than one employees in a company logo stays the same so does company address only area that get changed is the name and role which is different one to other employee so if you needs are to show yourself as a director for some reasons you paste your name and director under it and if you show yourself doing any other roles as stated in last few texts paste your name and role under it because you do according to the role given that business card would show.... but if you are every thing to your company you need to make an organisational chart telling all roles you perform with that a business card with for SOC requirement provision ...hope it helps
