Do they check that you have paid the right tax?

Post by Mr_Q » Mon Sep 16, 2013 2:53 pm

In the financial requirements advice document it says:

"The gross amount of any cash income may be used in meeting the financial requirement, where the correct tax has been paid on that income and where all the relevant evidential requirements in Appendix FM-SE are met"

I pay tax but there was a 2 month period where I was on the wrong tax code and I underpaid, do they contact HMRC and double check tax information or something? I'm hoping this doesn't hinder the application.

Any advice would help thank you
