UK born having T2 Dependant - Parents having ILR

Post by prasanna_1975 » Tue Sep 17, 2013 1:43 pm

Hello,

My son born in UK in 2010 and he is now having T2 VISA until Apr 2014. We (parents) both are having ILR since March 2013 and eligible for BC by 20th March 2014.

My Son T2 dependant VISA is available until Apr 2014. Did not apply ILR for my son, since i thought of going through naturalisation route.

I want to know whether i can combine the naturalisation process for all 3 of us after March 2014
or

should i need to process naturalisation for my son now ?

Please confirm

Your UK born child was eligible to Register as a UK citizen (using form MN1, applying Section 1(3) of the Rules) the very moment you got your ILR.

Your child's Registration application will be separate from you own Naturalization application, so no real advantage in doing a combined application with yours.

Therefore it would be more practical (with respect to sending documents, etc) for you to begin your child's Registration process now.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.
My ILR, MN1 and kids PP stories.
