Tier 1 general settlement application

Post by jiaojiao » Tue Sep 17, 2013 2:26 pm

I am on tier 1 general 3+2 program and here are my details:

- Entry clearance date: 1 Dec 2008
- Entering date: 15 Dec 2008 (less than 90 days from the entry clearance date)
- Renewed date: 10 Nov 2011
- Expire date: 10 Nov 2013
- 5-year qualifying date: 1 Dec 213
- Planned postal application date: 3-10 Nov 2013 (less than 28 days to the qualifying date and before the current visa expires).

Can anyboldy help with the following two questions:
1. Am I correct regarding the qualifying period and applciation date?
2. In SET (O) application form section 6.1, it asks
When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK?
Which date should I enter? My worry is that they might use this date to calculate the qualifying period.

You don't need to worry at all!

1. You can calculate 28 days backwards from 1 Dec and post your application within those 28 days. That will be perfectly fine.

2. You have entered UK within 90 days of Entry Clearance so no issues at all. You can post your applications as mentioned in point above.

3. In section 6.1, you must enter 15 Dec 2008 as that was the date you entered UK for the first time. Don't worry. Case Worker is not supposed to count 28 days backwards from 15 Dec. He will only count it from 1 Dec which is your Entry Clearance Date!

Agai, DON'T WORRY because you are totally covered and fine. And I can say this confidently because I am in same situation like you! In fact I have entered 77 days after Entry Clearance!

Have Beer and Have Fun!

Cheers,
Nachi
