Minimum Salary confusion

Post by aerobharath » Tue Sep 17, 2013 5:20 pm

Hi,

Im currently in Tier 1 PSW. I became a permanent employee of my company on April 15,2013. As Im going to apply in december it would be more than 6 months with the company and im eligible for Tier 2 without any issues. At the time of my employment they decided to pay the minimum salary for my job level which is 28,314 per annum. I later realised that on april 6,2013 the UKBA has raised the band to 29,100 . My HR Manager said they will increase my salary when Im applying for the VISA in december?

Will this work? Will there be any problem even if they increase my salary in November before I apply?

Kindly shed some light on this issue. Thanks.

As a post-study worker you don't have to work for the same company who will sponsor you on Tier 2 (that rule was abolished some time ago) and your pay needs to be the minimum prescribed in the codes of practice only from the work start date stated in the CoS.
