Child benefit & Applying for parent visa

Post by ayem » Thu Sep 19, 2013 11:44 am

Hi there,

I've ILR after 10 yr rule, my wife has applied for her FLR (M) which due to unforeseen reasons is in the process of appeal. We've two children.

Can we still apply for CT Credit and Child benefits. I want to sponsor my mother from pakistan as dependant as well, how will these funds affect her visa application.

And should I still tick taking public funds on my wife/child application for future?

Thanks

ps: couldnt find any related query.

Unless your mother is severely disabled with care needs you'll not get a dependant visa for her under domestic law.

You should claim child benefit in your name and tax credits in joint names.

Possibly the Surinder Singh route.
