Asalam O Alaikum Brothers & Sisters,
I need some urgent help. I will give you a little background to my story. Please take the time to read it and any advice of help would be highly appreciated. So the story begins with me in Mardan, Pakistan.
I applied for a Student Visa in late 2005 to come and study in the UK. i came to the UK in April 2006 on a 3 year student visa. I studied in London but as it happened I soon realized that the College was a sham. In September 2007 I came to Edinburgh to Study at Napier University. I studied a BSc which should have taken 4 years. However in 2008 my hometown was severely affected by the Civil war in Pakistan and as a result our commercial and business interests were very badly affected. My family could no longer support me financially and as a result I had to drop out of University as I could not afford my fees of £10,000 per year.
In 2009, I extended my visa by enrolling in a Business School in Edinburgh and my visa was extended for a two year period until 2011. In 2011 I applied to Glasgow University to carry out a Pre Masters for 1 year and with the University sponsoring my visa was extended for a further year until 2012. I finished the Pre-Masters and was accepted into my Masters degree.
The MSc started in January 2013 and is due to end in Jan 2014. My visa is also due to expire in Jan 2014. Unfortunately I do not think I will be in a position to complete my masters. The Masters course has been fully paid for. I am unsure if I will pass the course.
I do not want to go back to Pakistan. I have settled in Scotland and resided in Edinburgh now for a period of 6 years. My home city in Pakistan has been severely effected by the Civil War and I am very keen to not go back. Is there any avenues that are open to me to stay in Scotland? I know that I can potentially apply for a Post Study Work Visa however I believe (and I may be incorrect) that if I do not pass my Masters I will not be eligible for this?
Can someone please shed some light on this and any help would be highly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Kind Regards,
Riz
