50K route: Duration of time funds spent in account.

Post by wazobia » Thu Sep 19, 2013 9:31 pm

Hello

For the PSW to entrepreneur visa application, one of the requirements is to have 50K in a personal account.

I know UKBA have not mentioned any duration, in relation to how long the funds should have been in the bank account (except for the maintenance funds, which has the usual 90 days limit). However it seems as if the decision making on this visa is not as objective as it seems.

Can anyone who has been successful with an application via this route please share the details of how long the money was in the account? Was it a lump sum deposited in one go for a few days before application? Weeks? Months? Or was it a gradual build up over days / weeks / months?

Thank you.

You just need to have, or have acess to, the money. Thrre is no time period that it needs to be held ; it just needs to exist.

As Lukapooka said, access to money is the main thing. But, you must also provide all the documents for PSW -> T1 route

Such as company formation, relevant company letters, contract, landline, email and etc.

BTW, the route where more documents are required, more chances of getting excuses for UKBA to object on anything.

Yea there is no time limit ..but some of the applicants need to show the proof of the funds...(like where did u get the money from and how did u manage
to deposit it in your account and so on..so its better you provide some paper that support the mention reasons.....

The applicant whose application was refused due to this silly reason is me, so i guess you don't want your application to get refused with this kind of stupid reasons.......

Thanks for the responses.

I guess, just as Dumbaa said, I have seen on this forum, certain cases where people have been refused because they (UKBA) had questions about where the money came from. That's why I asked the question. Perhaps it looks more legit if the money had been in one's account for a while, as opposed to being deposited within a couple of days before the application is made.

The whole process isn't as objective as the guidance form makes it!
