married first as a non British and now a British citizen

Post by faraj_jehad » Mon Sep 23, 2013 9:18 am

Hi everyone

When i married my wife it was under a non-EU nationality.

Now i wish to apply for a uk spouse visa as we both live abroad so that we may settle in the UK.

MY question is this:

how do we register the non-UK marriage in the UK?

Kind Regards,

You don't. You simply use the overseas marriage cert (translsted) which will be recognised by the UK.

Even if it was under a different nationality?

Ok !

Once translated is it off to the UKBA?
