I moved to this country in 2006 as an asylum seeker. I had 5 years limited leave to remain. Since then I applied for indefinite leave to remain which was accepted in February this year. Also I am married to my British wife for the last 3 years, and have 3 children together. In July this year I have been convicted of perverting the course of justice which was related to a driving offence in January 2010, my sentence was £300 fine 80 hours community pay back and a 6 month driving ban. I am wanting to apply for a British citizenship but I would like to know which way you would recommend I get it as I have 2 options either I apply for general application or I apply through the marriage application. Which way do you recommend and is it likely to be refused because of my criminal record?
