Dear Forum People,
I wish to obtain your advise on my immigration matter.
I am EEA National and I have been residing in the UK since 1999 - I have completed my secondary schooling, college, university and post graduation from the UK.
I married a non EEA nation back in August 2007 - he obtained the entry clearance and entered the UK on the 13th August 2008.
He then applied and obtained his 5 year EEA Family member permit - we applied for the same in August 2008 upon his arrival in the UK - the Home Office responded with the permit in August2009.
The permit is valid until Mid August 2014 - however as he has been in the UK already for 5 years we were considering applying for his EEA4 now.
The problem is - upon his arrival in the UK for teh first year he was unable to secure a job - I was doing my under graduation and therefore was not working. We were living with our parents and they were bearing all our expenses.
We then have P60's and all our wage slips for the 4 subsequent years.
Will it be sufficient for the application as I was excercising my treaty rights by being a student for the first year?!
Also has anyone had any dealings with these applications post introduction of the fee - and what are the application timings like at the moment?
