Evidence to show work (EEA Family Permit , EEA2) Surinder

Post by dtm1 » Tue Sep 24, 2013 3:30 pm

Hi all,

I am trying to get an idea of what evidence is required for the EEA Family Permit and EEA2 via the Surinder Singh route to show that one has worked in the EU?

I was wondering if you are able to share your experiences, please ?

This seems to be a grey area and something that appears to be a key factor in my move to the EU as it's an intra company transfer from the UK branch to the Dutch branch therefore I would be able to obtain a letter to cover this move but my payslips are likely to be English as my host company will be paying the taxes in NL on my behalf (i.e. expat) but still exercising my EU treaty rights as I will not be required to obtain a work permit. My employer have confirmed that they will apply for my residence permit and I will apply for my dependent mother's permit.

So really keen to know what people here have used as evidence for working in the EU :

Is a letter from the employer sufficient? Any thoughts?

Sheraz- text in the link above leads to a deadend :
EUN2.8 What supporting documents should family members include in their application?
The Supporting documents for an EEA family permit page contains more information.

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/custo ... documents/
This link does not provide a list of supporting docs.

Do not be mixed up with EEA family permit and EEA2 because EEA2 is actually applied from within UK.
The above link actually leads to the following link which highlights the documents needs for EEA family permit.

Thanks Sheraz.

1.Bank statements or bank books Showing what has been paid in and out of an account for up to the previous six
months, and naming the account holder.

2.Bank letter or balance certificate Showing the account balance, the account holder’s name and the date when
the account was opened.

3.Payslips Covering up to the previous 6 months. If your salary is paid directly into your bank account, you should consider providing the statements showing these payments

4. Tax returns (business or personal) You could include recent documents from your government tax office,
confirming your income and the amount of tax that you have paid
Is this what everyone submits through the Surinder Singh route ? I hadn't realised it was this clear cut - so am I correct in understanding that the circumstances I have explained above where I get paid in the UK payroll of my country not be sufficient for the above?
