Please advise

Post by tx_ned » Tue Sep 24, 2013 3:30 pm

Dear Members,

Please advise if a person got naturalised in 1987 and he is planning to withdraw his British nationality - will his ILR remain there as valid or it would be autimatically withdrawn?

If ILR be gone with his application, how would he be able to get that again?

If ILR would be valid even after his withdrawl of nationality, please refer any section of law.

My uncle is planning to do so but he is confused about the consequences.

I will be thankful for your kind response.

Kind Regards

Muhammad

I am eager to know the answer to this as well. Interesting. Have you asked UKBA about this.

I know only once they can resume British citizenship back after giving it up.

My uncle called them and after long hold they advised to go through the UKBA website.

I even could not find much about this so asked from learned fellows.
