Married to UK citizen going Surinder Singh Route

Hello everyone.

I have a couple of questions that I am hoping to get answered from the help of the board.

I am married to a UK citizen. I currently hold a Pakistani passport. We have two children, both born in Pakistan. One has a british passport the other does not yet. We just have to apply for it.

I have emailed the consuler service in the Netherlands and they said that they would be able to give me a visa as my wife is a EU citizen and we have the right to free movement.

Would the Pakistani national be able to work while in Europe? The consular section has told me that I would not be able to work in Europe unless I have previous work authorization.

After staying in the Netherlands for 6 months and excercising her treaty rights the plan is to apply for a family permit and move back to the UK.

When arriving in the UK would I be able to work?

Would we have to show CSI inurance for the whole 5 years while we wait for the PR to go through?
