Tourist visa - self employed

Post by krssubbu » Wed Sep 25, 2013 12:38 pm

hi

I am self employed and run my own limited company. I want my parents to visit the UK and would like to send documents for their visa.

Could some one please let me know what documents are required (I have started my limited company 9 months ago so don't have previous year tax return.)

Should the following suffice ?

3 months bank statement
3 months payroll / dividend vouchers
letter from accountant
letter of invitation
accommodation proof
no objection letter from landlord - necessary ?

Thanks

Just your bank statements; you don't need anything from your company or accountant. At least six months statements are recommended but three may suffice. It's not about you working; it's about you having enough money to support them, if indeed they need your financial help to make this visit. Do they need your financial help or have they money of their own? Showing your historical cashflow will satisfy that requirement.

Hi Lucapooka,

they don't need my financial support. I just need to send them saying that I am here incase if they need any support

so do I send my limited company bank statement or personal bank statement. ( I have 6 bank statements in either case)

so you are sure I don't need to send payslips / dividend vouchers, isn't it ?

and what proof will they need to show at their end ?

Thanks

Send Personal bank statements unless it's clear and obvious that the company bank account is for your immediate and personal use.

No X-ray needed as the stay is less than 6 months.

From there end they need to prove they have sufficient funds (original bank statements on official stationary), reason for going back after the visit (asset, other family members, business/employment), NO Objection letter from employer - if working in Govt Agency.
