Family visitor visa from India

Post by rrp » Wed Sep 25, 2013 8:53 pm

Hi,

Hope you can help me.
Currently I am on ILR visa and would like to invite my parents to UK on family visitor visa. In UKBA websites under 'required documents' it says to provide marraige certificate under 'Evidence of your marital status'. Actully my parents don't have marriage certficate but in theire passport, spouse detail is correctly mentioned. Can you please advise if this should suffice or do they need marraige certificate. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thansk.

They should contact VFS for further information. If they don't have marriage certificate then they should apply without it.

Many thanks for the reply. I have one more query regarding Tenancy agreement. Hope some one can help me with this.

1) Is it mandatory to provide the complete tenancy agreement or can I just provide one letter from the agent saying I am currently on a rolling contrcat and staying in this house along with council and utility bill.

Thanks a lot for the information. So I will only submit the lettr from agent saying that I am still on contract for that house.

I hope we don't have to provide any NOC from the Housing agent saying that the my parents can stay with me during their UK visit.

refusal may be based on any circumstances, say not enough documents, not enough financial documents shown, may be based on ties with country, or accommodation.

but as i said just entering address on the application form is enough as long as you have enough room to accommodate the visitors. But you are providing the letter which will be ok

Thanks for your quick reply. The letter provided by the agent does not say about the number of rooms. It only says that I am an tenant of that house. Also in the house agreement it does not say about the number of rooms.

Thanks. Do you suggest that I would apply without the tenancy agreement and the letter from the agent. Instead I can only provide the council and utility bill.

as i said earlier, i would wait for some one to reply.

In my case, i didn't supply any of the documents you specified. just my passport and visa copies and a covering letter explaining that parents will take care of their expenses including air ticket. I included my address in the covering letter saying that they will stay at my home.

twice i did like this, both time they got the visa.
