how much time it take for the ilr dependent visa

iam bhagya , i got married in November,2012

my spouse was an ilr independent visa holder , he is working in uk (miltonkeyens)

3 months back we applied for ilr dependent visa (13/06/2013)

recently we got a mail that my application was in state of deferral and they

asked to submit some of the documents from my spouse side through post ,

we posted the documents through courier to the office (chennai) on september

10th ,but upto now we didnt get any info from them ,plz explain what is

defferal state and how much time it takes to grant my visa

plz help me to get sufficient info

Entry clearance officers have instructions to refer certain applications to the Home Office for guidance. These mainly involve cases which fall outside normal instructions or in which detailed enquiries in the United Kingdom will normally be needed.

Entry clearance applications from asylum seekers are referred to Asylum & Appeals Policy Directorate (AAPD).

It is also open to an entry clearance officer to defer an application in order to obtain further information or advice following receipt of which the decision is made by the post abroad.
