4eufam - Irish citizenship after three years?

Post by iamanalien » Fri Sep 27, 2013 11:49 pm

A mate says that citizenship bureau told him that a 4eufam resident can qualify for citizenship after 3 years? As far as I know it is 5?

Would it make any difference if the EU spouse is a British citizen?

I'm curious if the spouse of an Irish citizen who has exercised treaty rights in another EU country would be given 4EUFAM or just stamp 4?

If they were given 4EUFAM would they still be eligible for citizenship in 3 years?

Yes they will be given 4EUFAM, it doesn't then erase the fact that, they are a spouse of an Irish citizen, they will be eligible to apply just as the rest who are in the category.
