Can my maintainance balance be the fees as well

As an evidence to my maintenance funds, if I submit the bank statements till 1st Sep FOR EG ONLY.

And then I get a Band DD made on 2nd Sep for the Fees - Is that fine?

I mean does the maintenance funds needs to be in my Bank until I get the Visa please?

You are actually trying to prove that you have sufficient maintenance funds to support yourself, at the time of your application. So my inference would be, yes, the maintenance fund needs to be in your bank account at the time of your application.

However you can still make payment via credit card for the visa fee.

Technically No it cannot be the fee and (if denied visa) you may loose the opportunity to re apply immediately as you may have used the money already hence you cannot produce an updated statement.

Agree - I can not reapply in case I have to.

But you think they actually check the current balance with the bank - assuming all docs are in order ... I do not think so - they just go by the docs submitted I guess?

Yes they have every authority to do so! It's better to be prepared than to be sorry later.
