Tier 1 extension

I have a query. My friend has come in UK in 2006 on WP. He later switched to Tier 1 in 2009 & got it extended in 2012. He has been out from UK for significant period and planning to come back before his extension.

Assuming he scores required points for extension,
1. Is there any limit on number of times he would be able to extend Tier 1?
2. Any other problems he is likely to face currently or in future extension?

As of now there is no limit but HO can implement in future so be aware.

Assuming he will score enough ,then no problem(again rule might change in future).
