Cooling off for Switching Tier2 ICT to General from India

I am currently on Tier2 ICT for last 2.5 years which was granted after 6th April 2011.
Now I got offer from UK employer who is ready to sponsor Tier 2-General.

To switch Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General , I need to do entry clearance from India as I came after 6th April 2011.

My question is if I go to India before my current Tier2 ICT visa expires and apply fresh for Tier 2 General with COS from UK employer, then whether cooling off is applicable or not ?

Is it possible for me to switch to tier2 general from tier2 ICT with entry clearance..?
