Documents Required for Son's Citizenship

Hi,
I will get my ILR approved on 30/09/2013.
My son was born 1 month before the ILR and at that time I was on Tier 1 - General. I heard that I can apply for his British Passport though I was not on ILR at the time of approval.
What all Documents Do I need to apply for my son's British Passport?

you have to apply for your son's Registration as a British Citizen with Homeoffice first.....once you get a letter from HO, then youcan apply for your son's Passport...

I assume that I have to fill Form MN1 and send it to the home office.

Is this correct?

My wife does not have ILR; only I have ILR and son was born 1 month before the ILR. Hope this will not be an issue.
