Uk tier 1 entrepreneur visa

Post by Jenlord » Tue Oct 01, 2013 7:55 am

Hello people,

I need some help regarding tier 1 entrepreneur visa. I am applying from Pakistan for tier 1 visa. I want to establish a chicken shop in UK. How much funds in that case I have to show? 50k or 200k? Do I need to dispose all the funds or less? Because chicken shops are going cheap there. Awaiting for your replies. Thanks.

If you promise to supply me halal chicken lifetime free offer than I will help you :P

Wondering how many chicken's one can buy in 200 K :O

Enough jokes ! You will need to have 200K in your account as Chicken shop is not a skilled business. if you get the visa than you have to spend entire 200 k in a span of 3 years .
Dont PM me.. Post it on the Forum ! It will help everyone :)
You can PM me the link or something specific to you.

Thanks for your reply. I wonder how one is supposed to spend 200k on a chicken shop lol. Anyway, I want to take over a shop going for 20k in bradford. How am I supposed to dispose 200k and invest it all on a chicken shop? Do I have to dispose all the funds while I have been issued the visa and left for Uk? Or I have to dispose it in a span of 3.4 years? Do I need to invest it all or the funds being in my Uk account right after I be there are good enough for extention eh?

You have to dispose of all the funds (200K) on your business (Chicken shop), during the duration of your visa (or at least before you make an application for an extension), in order to get the extension.

As for how to spend 200K on a chicken shop, well...hiring employees is a start. Expanding the business (opening more chicken shops) would be my next line of action

Get a copy of the Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) policy guidance from the UKBA website and have a read through it. It's so much easier for people to actually respond to specific questions, which can only be asked if you have studied the guidance. It also allows someone to respond to your questions with the minimal number of posts, as follow up questions will be minimal

To give you a general response to your questions, yes you can apply under the 50K route. But you have to either have been on the PSW visa, OR you are able to obtain the 50K from a recognised government department, venture capitalist, and some other organisations listed in the guidance, OR you are currently in the UK and applying under a graduate entrepreneur migrant visa.

NO you Can not apply for 50K as you don't have PSW - in short.

applying for chicken shop under 200K - they will staright refused you as they will ask you so many question regarding health and safety , food hygienic certificate etc etc - Personally don't apply this year wait for next year and apply in Jan-Feb, with strong Business Plan and Bank Statement without any error ( if you got money from 3rd party ) you have 50% + chance for refusal from PAKISTAN and being bank you know very well WHY.

best of luck anyway

Dear Shaikh,

What do you recommend ? What could be the best for me to invest. I can take initiative with 20-30k dough? P.s : I have had been to UK on a student visa back in 2007. Unfortunately, came back to Pakistan as my mother was seriously ill and have no sibblings to look after. Could that make a reason for refusal too? Sponsor will not be third party, it will be my family.
